Comparing a model across Singapore, Japan and UK stock
A repeatable template for comparing one model across the three main right-hand drive sources: age, mileage, trim, documents, price and freight.
How to use this template
Pick one model, for example the Toyota Harrier 2017. Fill each row from a live listing in each market. The row that decides most purchases is trim at the same FOB.
The rows
- Registration year and month, and the age rule at your port of entry.
- Mileage and who recorded it (LTA inspection, auction sheet, MOT history).
- Trim: leather, sunroof, camera, sensors, hybrid.
- Documents: export certificate, deregistration certificate, inspection certificate.
- FOB, freight to your port, insurance, inspection: the CIF line.
- Transit days and next sailing.
Where Singapore usually wins
- Trim at the same price.
- Mileage.
- Distance to East Africa.
Where Japan usually wins
- Volume and choice in budget segments.
- Kei trucks and commercial vehicles.
